Abstract
|
|
|
Purpose : To evaluate the clinical and radiologic findings of transient synovitis of the hip.
Materials and methods : Total 69 patients,of 72 cases, were followed for an average 14 months,with a range of 12~38 months. History, physical examination, laboratory and radiographic findings were evaluated.
Results :
Conclusion : although it is a self-limited disease, more careful examination is demanded in cases of atypical symptoms and recurrence due to its characteristic as an exclusive disease. In simple X-ray, soft tissue bulging in cases of transient synovitis of the hip is regarded as being caused by positional changes of soft tissue layers due to external rotation and/or abduction of the thigh.
